Jill Zimmermann is an audio engineer who played an integral part in two JUNO award winning albums with artists such as Harrison Kennedy and July Talk.
Originally Born and raised in Germany, now a permanent Canadian Resident, she followed her dream to work in the North American Music Industry in 2014 working as an engineer at Jukasa Studios. Since Jill has relocated to Canada, she has worked on many projects, including two US Billboard Charts #1 Hit Singles "The Mountain" and "Infra-Red" by Three Days Grace.
Being surrounded by music her entire life - including years of violin lessons, orchestra and choir rehearsals - lead her to develop an interest in sound engineering at an early age.
She studied Audio Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences, Dusseldorf and Audio Production at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE), Cologne.
In 2010, she was selected amongst the "most dedicated audio engineering students" in Europe, being awarded the 'Scholarship Of Sound' presented by AKG Acoustics.
During her studies, Jill worked in many different fields of audio as well having recorded, edited, mixed sound for movies and commercials. Jill was also responsable for mixing, stage-managing and stage-setup of many Independent bands in live sound.
